Over the last 50 years the majority of people in the United States have eaten a processed food diet. Why would we eat any differently when this is what we’re being fed? As I work with clients around the world, I’ve discovered that most with elevated blood counts have not escaped the power and control of sugar, but it’s really uncertain why a blood disorder or any disease happens to some of us.
Maybe a virus or bacterial infection marked this change in our bone marrow? Maybe too many sugars and the wrong foods have made our body overly acidic and a Candida overgrowth is the underlying issue? Perhaps our life and emotions aren’t in a secure place? We could be severely dehydrated, have chronic inflammation, hormone imbalances and a critically wounded digestive system? Regardless, all of these issues can be resolved!
For me, my diet revolved around sugar and processed food and junk my entire life, and I never drank water, at least that wasn’t through sugary drinks like Kool-Aid, sweet tea and later, soft drinks and coffee. When I began seeing a hematologist for my blood, I had just come through the birth of my second child and had a flu-like virus, with aches and fever. Maybe hormones and this virus were my spark, combined with all of the other issues I listed above as well?
I believe it’s the perfect storm of these things, leading to the imbalances we all face when confronted with an illness, but I want to assure you that YOU can definitely heal your blood and bone marrow. There are few doctors who encourage us to look at the big picture of our life when we are searching for a way to simply get better, but this is where I’d like for you to begin. Then, I’d like for you to trust that whole foods and water are the solution in how to rebuild your health.
Our blood is our life force circulating throughout every part of the human body, and it is always changing and regenerating. The most exciting news I have for you is that our blood is one of the easiest things we can heal in our body! We just have to clean it up and by doing so, we will also calm and heal our overly active bone marrow.
It’s really like a magical solution but one that so many of us are totally unaware of, feel we can’t obtain or are unsure of exactly how to implement. I want to show you how to replace the old foods you love with newer ones that I promise, you’re going to love just as much! You just need to give this food option a chance and trust your body’s miraculous ability.
The human body is incredible and is always working to achieve balance for us, no matter how much abuse it takes. It repairs our wounds and maintains just the right temperature. Your lungs are always breathing and your heart never misses a beat. Our body is an unbelievable machine, a super computer, and I want you to TRUST that it will respond to your efforts!
Conventional medicine focuses on sick-care rather than health-care and in my opinion, has moved so far away from approaching our modern illnesses. Pharmaceutical drugs take the place of nutrition in the universities where our doctors are taught and little to none of their time spent during medical training focuses on food and water being the real answer in how to address health issues.
Twenty years ago the Jak2 test wasn’t available, and I was diagnosed through a bone marrow biopsy. While the Jak2 test is much easier for us, did you know that a positive testing for this mutation happens to many who are never affected with a bone marrow disorder? For this reason, I find the Jak2 confirmation very confusing.
Regardless of the way you were diagnosed, this genetic dis~ease or shift happened. We had a healthy body at one time, so how did our genes change? If we reprogrammed our body’s ability once, then why can’t we do it again? The human body is so complex and remarkable.
It’s certainly not the fault of our doctors but rather a misguided medical system that is making tons of money keeping us sick, filling prescriptions and coming back for repeated visits and testing. Global health care practices can only survive and thrive if people are fearful of the symptoms and imbalances we all experience sometimes and wow, what a business they have in place.
I’d like for you to consider whether it makes sense to add toxic chemotherapy drugs into an already imbalanced bloodstream and body? For polycythemia vera, this is the typical protocol and not for a short term treatment but for the duration of our life. And these drugs are never going to make our bone marrow healthy again. Most medications are only a temporary band-aid and will never resolve the root causes of a problem. I knew immediately this was not the path I wanted to take.
Since we are not born with chaotic blood production, doesn’t it seem possible that something we’re overloaded with has made this happen? We must correct whatever our body is burdened with, and NOURISHMENT is the way to make this occur. It really is this simple!
When a doctor tells us that we are never going to get better, our mind and thoughts can be persuaded to think differently. Initially, when I began having my blood counts tested, my hematologist said my numbers were going to continue to get worse. And of course they did, for I completely trusted this approach in regards to my body and health.
When my children were young and I was going through all of my testing, I met another mother who told me that her blood counts were too low. However, she ate well and had the best perspective saying that “in time, she knew they would be balanced again” ~ no big deal! She had also just come through the birth of a child. I often think of her and somehow feel she is probably doing just fine!
Our thinking has such a powerful influence over our body because they are both connected. I trusted my doctor over myself, but I wonder if my outcome could have been different if I had been told I had a temporary imbalance, instead of chronic disease? Though without this diagnosis and the threat of a daily chemo pill, I may have never changed anything I was doing. Eventually, I felt thankful for this devastating period of my life, as it opened up a whole new me.
Looking back into my dis~ease (I prefer imbalance), I think I produced too much blood because of too much excessiveness in my life. I’m an over-doer, over-thinker, OCD girl. The difference for me now is not so much that those things have changed, but I know how to properly nourish and take care of my body. And I feel happy with every part of me!
I wonder if the same feels true for those who don’t produce enough blood? Are they living a life that is lacking, undernourished or less than? If you can get to the core of what is possibly driving your condition, you can work towards resolving your own puzzle. I believe all diseases have been created by us, to teach us something.
I want to show you how to strengthen your digestion, detox your blood, liver and organs and achieve balance through nutrition, with food being your medicine. You need to begin reading labels for everything you put into your body and if there are ingredients you don’t recognize, please know that your body won’t recognize them either.
Natural is always best, both internally and externally for our health but unfortunately, we are completely surrounded by food-like products and chemicals, rather than real foods and natural ingredients. Most of us eat too much sugar and acid producing foods, and we are chronically dehydrated thanks to sugary, caffeinated drinks and coffee. And we have not been taught that everything in our body works better when we drink water.
Nourishing your body back to health takes perseverance because we are changing a deeply rooted issue. It is also more work because these foods and drinks have become our normal. So, this is where our effort begins but on the other side of this diagnosis, you will be free from a life spent in and out of routine doctor visits, constant probing and testing and expensive and toxic medications. I’m sure you will agree, NOTHING is more time consuming, stressful and challenging than this?
Please don’t feel you have to change everything you are doing in a day or month but know the more good foods you can introduce, the more you’re going to crowd out all of the not so good ones. Truly, the best part is that in time, you’re going to feel absolutely amazing while your blood and bone marrow become healthy again.
Research and immerse yourself with the positivity of others who have healed their body from chronic, incurable illnesses. Try a new recipe when you’re ready and see what you think. Tweak your own favorite recipes with healthier oils and salts. Take a whole foods cooking class to hone your kitchen skills. Begin drinking more water and eating lots of vegetables. This is not a diet but rather a new lifestyle in nourishing yourself with what our human body needs and it works!
The imbalances with your blood didn’t happen overnight and unfortunately, changing our health for the better doesn’t either. The most important step you can take right now is in believing that your body can heal! Baby steps will lead to significant changes and when you are ready, take a giant leap with the foods you put into your body everyday. You won’t regret it! With patience, practice and determination, you can do this...
